Glass Refraction & Typography Ink Bleed

I wanted to experiment this time with movement from a video and adding a glass refraction effect overlay on top.
Then adding some typography animation, Iv'e been wanting to try, to the final piece.

Composition settings 1920x1080px
Length 14s

Glass Refraction

Using the same settings taken from the email header gradient design, I started by tweaking the Sawtooth and Semicircle settings for the refraction.

I added a Gaussian Blur adjustment layer below the Sawtooth and Semicircle layers

Effects & Presets > Wave Warp
Wave Type > Sawtooth
Wave Height > 267
Wave Width > 1
Direction > +180
Wave Speed > 0
Pinning > All Edges

Effects & Presets > Wave Warp
Wave Type > Semicircle
Wave Height > -123
Wave Width > 3
Direction > +180
Wave Speed > 0
Pinning > All Edges

Adjustment Layer > Gaussian Blur
Blurriness > 35.0

This gives a cool frosted/refracted glass effect.

I then added a mask rectangle to each of these layers to the bottom half for the text to sit on top.

I then pre-comped these layers.

Typography

This is the tutorial I followed for the Typography

Create a Solid Layer and then duplicate it. Place one Solid under the Text Layer and rename as background.

The other Solid is going above the Text Layer and renamed as Blur Comp.

Search for the 4-Color Gradient and drag it on the Blur Comp Layer.

Recolour the 4-Color Gradient, first 2 colours are white, the second 2 colours are black.

Click the stopwatch on all 4 Points, move the Time Indicator ahead and drag the Points to mix up the colours and animate keyframes. Animate every second.

Create an Adjustment Layer and rename it InkBleed, then search for the Gaussian Blur and drop it on the InkBleed Layer. Blur value: 6%.

Effects & Presets > Gaussian Blur
Blurriness > 5.4

Search for Compound Blur, add it under Gaussian Blur.

Effects & Presets > Compound Blur
Blur Layer > Blur Comp > Effects & Masks
Maximum Blur > 32.0

Search for Threshold and drop it under the Compound Blur.

Effects & Presets > Threshold
Threshold > 20.4

Uncheck the eye for the Blur Comp layer.

Duplicate the InkBleed Layer, rename the layer to Blur.

Remove the Threshold and Gaussian Blur and add the Camera Lens Blur.

Effects & Presets > Camera Lens Blur
Blur Radius > 21.0
Blur Map > Layer > Blur Comp > Effects & Masks

Search for Noise and drop it under the Camera Lens Blur.

Effects & Presets > Camera Lens Blur
Amount of Noise > 15.0%

I then pre-comped these layers, named it Typography and set the blending mode to lighten.

I then played around with the positioning of the text.
